Welcome to the renovated WrestleRom. Hopefully the redesign will make it
easier to find any games you may be here looking for. As may be evidenced
by anyone who's been here before, I don't know jack about game roms. The
ones available on this site were culled from various sites around the net,
many of which I've found aren't around any longer.
The site is seldom updated - the influx of new wrestling games is almost
nonexistant. Being a fan of wrestling, and wrestling games in particular,
I got on a kick once to find out what kind of wrestling games were out
there. Much to my delightful surprise, there were a lot more than I had
imagined. Hoping to one day playsome of them, I started downloading what
I could, whenever I found something. Now that little hobby has turned into
this archive for all of those old wrestling games.
Make a note (just to CMA) that by downloading anything from this site you
agree to the Terms of Service stated within, because I
don't want to get sued if I can avoid it!
01.01.08 - 15 months of being quiet and I almost forget the site is still up and running :) It looks like some of the sample/in-game
images listed under the details for the Sega Genesis games have gone missing. The games are still there, just a couple of preview images have
snuck off. Maybe they're looking for those lone socks that get lost in the dryer? There are also supposed to be more of
the PS1 & PS2 roms out there, but I haven't had much luck in tracking them down yet.
09.03.06 - Had to move the site to a new server once again, this time due to the server being hacked. I would be a little
paranoid since it coincided with Dave at WGU mention the site in a link
in his latest update/email, but it was a server attack that wasn't site specific (so the other 194 sites I'm sharing a server with all
had to suffer through some Turkish propoganda). Unfortunately, anybody that followed the link looking for some ROMs
also had to suffer through the propoganda. Sorry Dave! For anyone looking for that copy of WrestleFest that he mentioned,
you can still get it here!
04.20.05 - After much looking, I've managed to track down at least a half-way working version of the
N64 No Mercy rom! I haven't had a lot of luck getting an N64 emulator to work on
my XP machine, so I can't atest to how complete the rom is. I've gotten the intro to play, but beyond that it just
seems to wait.. and wait. If anyone can get it to work all the way through, please let me know - I've been trying to cull the
corrupt files from the site and replace them when I can. Nothing's worse that getting hyped up to play a long lost game only
to be struck with an error message when loading. I'd like to thank some of the guys from PWSE
forums, NoDQ forums, and venue.world-wrestling.net
sites in letting me know about a whole batch of corrupted files that have been uprooted and replaced with their better working
versions!
02.07.05 - For people looking for some wrestling games outside of the world of emulation,
I've had a blast playing Booking Mpire and Wrestling Mpire from Mat Dickie.
It's not PS2 graphics, but for 1 guy learning as he goes they're fun games to play. Also, if you want to follow the
progress of an independant wrestling game, sign up for the Wrestling
Gamers United Newsletter. I've been following the trials and tribulations of Dave and the gang for the past 6 months
and have to say that no matter what happens, these guys are going to put out a wrestling game and it's gonna kick
ass!
11.27.04 - After looking high and low, I've been unable to track down any good
copies of Dreamcast & N-64 games (There have been a lot of people looking for No Mercy).
Sorry about that.....
03.05.04 - I just found out that a lot of the PC Roms had broken links to
the download file. These should hopefully be fixed now. There was also a missing
directory for the TurboGrafix-16 emulators and roms.
04.28.04 - Just moved the site to a new server, so everything should go
a little faster. Hopefully, all the files have gotten switched over without anything
getting lost; I still need to go back and check that!
